Widzialni Foundation is a member of the Coalition in aid of digital inclusion "M@aturity in the net"

 Coalition

UPC Polska together with the Academy of Philanthropy Development in Poland has appointed the Coalition for Digital Inclusion of the Generation 50+ "M@turity in the net". Purpose of the project is unification of companies, non-government organizations, offices and institutions to coax elderly people to actively use the Internet. The first members of the organization were the Foundation for Jagiellonian University, Foundation for Information Society Development, F-Secure, IBM, Microsoft, Onet.pl, Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan and Polish Scouting and Guiding Organization. Widzialni Foundation has joint this force.

Creating the Coalition for Digital Inclusion of the Generation 50+ "M@turity in the net" results from the fact that elderly people use the Internet and new technologies to less extent, which fact endangers them with exclusion from the world of modern communication. The organization is to activate persons aged 50+ by popularizing the knowledge among them concerning modern technologies as well as taking common initiatives serving for the improvement of availability and skills to use them. The Coalition intends to speak in public debates concerning important issues combating e-exclusion in Poland and initiate thematic discussions.

The Coalition is of informal character and is open to another companies and institutions which would like to engage in the campaign to combat e-exclusion of elderly people. Patronage over the project is provided by the Electronic Communication Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration.
